fun with paint

My office wall was grey. It wasn’t bad, just very bland. Painting a new solid color, meh, I wasn’t feeling it. Wallpaper sounds like a lot of work. Plus I have nightmares (ok, maybe that’s a bit dramatic) about my parents removing wallpaper in the 80’s and it was a frustrating mess. I know things have come a long ways, but still no to wallpaper.
After some Pinterest pin-spiration I decided on a fun accent wall. I already had everything I needed at home – some dark blue paint and one of those famous plastic cups (well, mine was a different color, but you know what I mean).

In about an hour, I was completely cleaned up from my project and admiring the results. So simple, dip the top of the cup in the paint and stamp it on the wall. I stamped 2-3 times before getting more paint on the cup. I started in the lower corner, so I made sure I did t end up with part of a cup at the end. I also overlapped and staggered the cup some. I’ve had lots of people tell me they like my wallpaper. Folks are surprised when I explain it’s paint 😉

I like the variety in the circles. Some are bolder, others have drips or gaps in the lines.
It gives the wall life and texture.
This visually interesting wall didn’t cost me any money and took about an hour start to finish. Decorator win!
