Fun and Affordable DIY Gift Tag Ideas

Addressing a gift can be super cute AND easy! And not crazy expensive (like greeting cards can be). I made some standard fun and affordable DIY gift tags that are useful for addressing a gift to anyone.

Using different types of paper you can create a variety of gift tag looks. Yes, I made these gift tags on my Cricket with the Cricket pens. You could absolutely make these by hand.

I found that white paper (cream, ivory, beige, etc) are the most versatile for matching a gift or wrapping paper. With different colored pens, you can add some color and excitement to the gift tags.

I am working on a variety of gift tag designs for all the gift giving occasions. After the standard gift tags, I created… a party hat gift tag. Perfect for little kids or the young at heart. The fun pompoms at the top of the cone-shaped hat reminds me of fireworks. Talk about a celebration! I love the whimsical, but simple design of these gift tags.

A variety of pen colors and line widths can add fun and whimsy to these cute DIY gift tags. You can create this style by hand. Cut out a triangle with a rounded bottom and a circle for the pom-pom. Decorate with colored pens, markers, glitter, etc. Glue the two pieces together. Ta-da, a fun and affordable DIY gift tag.
