Hand Made for Self Discovery

Hi, I’m Angie, Kinda Shiny is the winding path of my journey: hand made for self discovery. I started this journey after a layoff. Honestly, I was feeling lost, unsure of what direction to go in, looking for my purpose. I love my family and know my purpose as a mother, wife, daughter, sister. But my 9-5 self? I was lost.

To fill my days, I leaned into my love of making things with my hands. I wanted to recover from burn-out and was looking for inspiration. I could only hope this would provide me some self discovery.

While I’m creative and enjoy making things, it doesn’t always go as planned. Some things become happy accidents, while others are a total mess. It’s just how it goes, ya know? The good news, exploring new projects leads to self discovery. I’m creative, and try to be artistic (with varying degrees of success). Kinda Shiny is about seeking progress (not perfection). I love to try new ideas, explore new things to make, making something old new again. I want to share that journey with you. Hopefully you find a bit of inspiration, or at least some entertainment.
