A Little Self Love Goes a Long Way

We all deserve (and need) to take care of ourselves. Feeling good helps us to be the best version of ourself that we can be. There are all kinds of ways to take care of yourself. I truly believe a little self love goes a long way. I’m going to share a few of my favorite ways to show myself a little love.

Skin Care, in so many ways…

Self Love: Dermal Korean Sheet Masks

One of my favorite things are these Korean Sheet Masks (affiliate link). I try to use them about once a week, sometimes more, sometimes less. Post-shower, I put one of these sheet masks on my face. Then, I go about getting dressed or ready for the day. 15-ish minutes later, I pull the sheet mask off. I rub in any left over serum. Then I gaze at my beautiful skin in the mirror. I have been using these face masks for about a year. I honestly feel like my skin has never looked this good! I always feel better after using one of these masks. The price is pretty amazing too! 24 masks for under $20, that’s nearly a half year’s supply if you use them once a week!

I also love a nice, hot shower. This is my easiest self love act.

Getting back to skin care, though, I am totally falling in love with Red Aspen Skin Tint (affiliate link). I am a Red Aspen Brand Ambassador, so if you have any questions, please let me know. This skin tint is light, provides a soft natural coverage, and leaves my face looking smooth and glowing. Packed with good-for-you ingredients like Niacinamide to help visibly brighten and smooth your skin’s texture

All the Pretty Things…for self love

Accessories are always fun ways to brighten up your day. When I’m having a not-so-great hair day, I put in a fabulous pair of earrings! Check out my hand made earrings for sale on my Shop page.

If I want to feel extra glam or just want a pop of brightness, manicure for the win! I have tried all the manicures. ALL. THE. MANICURES. Going to the salon is awesome, but it’s expensive and takes quite a bit of time. I’ve done regular nail polish, various at-home gel polishes, at-home dip polish. I’m really hard on my nails, but I am so disappointed when the manicure doesn’t last. Polish doesn’t last. It chips, it smudges (like I said, I’m hard on my nails). it looks like a 5 year old did it. Ugh! At-home dip worked out pretty well, but what a DISASTER to take off! I felt like I was soaking my hand in a vat of toxic chemicals to scrape that stuff off. I’m not trying to be a pusher here, but Red Aspen makes nail dashes (affiliate link) that I absolutely LOVE. These nails go on in minutes with a little prep and glue. They are easy to take off, don’t damage my natural nails. I am not kidding that these nails are the solution to my nail struggles.

These Nail Dashes (affiliate link) come in so many different colors, styles, lengths, shapes and fun designs. Classic looks like a white French tip to metallic or chrome or fun designs. You can mix-and-match to create your own look, too! Everything you need comes in the box. Dashes range from about $14-$20, come with 24 nail dashes in various sizes. Plus you can reuse the dashes! I like a shorter nail (especially during the summer), so I cut my dashes down to get my shorter length. Perfect!

Soft and Silky

Love the skin you’re in. I’ve been using this home made brown sugar scrub for a few months. Ahh-mazing!
